La Casa Adentro'


'La Casa Adentro' is visible through an alternative space we call the 'Imaginery Space'. This term is the one we are using in this piece to define a personal space that is created through each mind of the audience – with audio stimulation. The Imaginery Space can only be experienced by who creates it, thus proposing a choreographic piece with infinite visual possibilities because of the re-creation by the audience.

The access to 'La Casa Adentro' will be through the sense of the ear, as an alternative to the sight. The effect of spacial placement and creation of images of who is listening is because of neural connections that the brain makes because of a specific audio engineering design. The choreographic work is based on that this audio design allows communication with the audience in real time. It does not require post-production but rather is it the function of the spacial placement of the relation of the input to the output. In this case, the relation between the microphones and the headphones.

The chorography is being heard, with no special effects, at the moment of its execution in a different space from the performers, becoming the main parameter for its elaboration and structure. The imaginary space will be the connection between the performers and the audience which relate through a mental space that will be created through the sound.

The mechanism of this event in its totality is a metaphore for 'La Casa Adentro' which is the theme of this piece and exists inside the 'Imaginery Space'. 'La Casa Adentro' is a search for a structure of needs, belonging and security that are in constant movement and only depend on one self.
